"Autonomous drones are not just machines; they are a glimpse into the future of innovation and exploration." — ChatGPT
In an incredible journey, my friend and I built an autonomous payload delivery drone for a prestigious national-level competition hosted at IIT Delhi. The competition attracted top college students from across the country, making it an intense and highly competitive event.
Our drone was equipped with an electromagnet mounted at the bottom, enabling it to autonomously pick up and deliver payloads with precision. We used iNav as the flight controller software, ensuring highly reliable autonomous navigation. Fine-tuning the system to work seamlessly under challenging conditions demanded countless hours of rigorous testing and optimization.
Despite the fierce competition, our drone consistently outperformed others with its innovative design and reliable execution. We proudly secured First Place and won a prize of ₹1.5 Lakhs INR.
This achievement was more than just a win — it was a reflection of our dedication, creativity, and passion for engineering. Competing against some of the best minds at a national platform strengthened my drive to continue pushing the boundaries of autonomous technology.
